We were married on August 8, 2008 in Quezon City, Philippines in a civil wedding. Eight is one of the luckiest numbers in both Chinese and other recent cultures. As many other people lined up to get married this day, we just got married to express our deep love for each other.
Our wedding was bitter sweet. We are separated from each other by both time and distance. Ben is in USA and Cealita is in the Philippines. We wait for each other with tears in our eyes and the time that we can have our marriage blessed in a church.
With all the fanfare and superstitious thoughts about the fortuitous wedding date of August 8, 2008, is it lucky. Well, we feel that we are lucky the luckiest people in the world.
